Steuben County will be hosting (2) two Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events for their residents throughout the spring and summer. The collection events are free to attend for Steuben County residents and registration is mandatory. There are some acceptable materials that will be accepted at the event separately than then HHW collection event. There is an opportunity to indicate if you are bringing any of these materials on the registration page.
Latex Paint WILL NOT be accepted at this event. Latex paint can be stabilized (Dried Out) and treated as regular garbage.Used motor oil can be returned to where you purchased the oil,or disposed of in the used oil tank onsite. Fluorescent bulbs are free to drop off for residents any day of the week, but are not part of the program.
