The Village of Akron and Town of Newstead are offering a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event for their residents. 

Registration is mandatory.  It's easy. All you need to do is click the "Register Here" button at the top right corner of this page OR by calling the Village of Akron (716) 542-9636, Monday - Friday 9AM - 3PM 

Proof of residency is required at time of disposal. 

Thank you to the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation for providing funding for the collection event.
